Scenic Utah Byway 12
Best Scenic Drives for 2020
In this COVID-19 era, scenic drives make it easier to get out and travel while practicing social distancing. We’ve found a number of drives in and around 10 national parks that are simply gorgeous. If you’ve decided to put a hold on traveling for now, these drives and the spectacular photos accompanying them will inspire you to get next year’s bucket list started.
Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef: Find out for yourself why this 124-mile byway is hailed as one of the most scenic in the nation.
Grand Canyon: Route 66. A vortex in Sedona. One of America’s top swimming holes. Experience them on these magnificent drives.
Rocky Mountain: Leave the crowds behind on Trail Ridge Road and discover solitude on the original road leading to Rocky Mountain’s alpine paradise.
Sequoia to Kings Canyon and Yosemite: See three national parks, two that are rarely crowded, in three days on this stunning loop.
Olympic: Olympic National Park's highest elevation road is narrow with steep drop-offs in places. But it’s breathtakingly beautiful.
Great Smoky Mountains: Wildlife. Wide, open views. Historic churches. These are just several reasons why this is such a popular route.
Yellowstone: Climb 5,000 feet via your car to an enchanting land floating above Montana’s valleys.
